Effective date: September 28, 2026
The short version: Bloomstead Parenting collects only what it needs to schedule sessions, deliver coaching and trainings, send you what you signed up for, and run this website. Bloomstead never sells your personal information. You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information at any time by emailing [email protected].
This policy explains how Bloomstead Parenting ("Bloomstead," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when you visit bloomsteadparenting.com (the "Site"), join our email list, book a session, or purchase a course or training. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
Bloomstead does not sell your personal information, and does not share it for third-party advertising.
We share information only with service providers who help us run Bloomstead, and only as needed to do their job. These providers are bound to protect your information and may not use it for their own purposes. Depending on how you interact with us, they may include:
We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of Bloomstead or others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business (in which case we will require the new owner to honor this policy).
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep the Site working, remember your preferences, and understand which pages are helpful. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the Site work.
We use Google Analytics and the reporting built into CBFunnels to understand how visitors use the Site. These tools collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you visit, and we use it in aggregate form to improve the Site. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Some browsers also offer a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal; where required by law, we honor those signals.
If you join our email list, download a free resource, or purchase a program, we may send you emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing [email protected]. We will honor unsubscribe requests promptly. We may still send transactional messages, such as booking confirmations, receipts, and access instructions, even if you unsubscribe from marketing.
Parent coaching often involves sharing details about your child and your family. Information you share in the course of coaching is used only to provide coaching to you, and is not used in marketing. We do not share identifiable stories, examples, or details from coaching without your written permission.
Parent coaching is educational and skills-based. It is not ABA therapy or treatment, psychotherapy, or medical care, and it does not replace any of those. Although Sharon is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, coaching with Bloomstead does not create a clinical or treatment relationship, and it does not include assessment or treatment of any individual child. Information shared with Bloomstead is governed by this policy and your coaching agreement rather than by health-privacy laws such as HIPAA.
Please avoid sending sensitive details, such as a child's full medical records or diagnostic reports, through the website's contact forms or by regular email. If such documents are useful, we will discuss a more secure way to share them first.
Coaching sessions are recorded with your permission. Recordings are used to give you a copy to review after the session and to help Sharon track and improve the coaching program. Recordings are not shared with anyone else or used in marketing without your written permission, and they are kept for 12 months from the date of the session before being deleted.
The Site and Bloomstead's services are intended for parents and caregivers, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, including to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. You can request earlier deletion as described below.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including secure, password-protected accounts with our service providers and encrypted connections on the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your information occurs, we will notify you as required by law.
You can contact us at any time to:
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know, access, correct, and delete personal information, and to appeal a decision about your request. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.
The Site may link to other websites, including social media platforms, that Bloomstead does not control. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you by email or a notice on the Site.
